To become aware and conscious of the things we do even if they seem insignificant is the primary goal of the FELDENKRAIS METHODŽ.
What does it mean to become "aware and conscious"?
Observe, out of simple observation (simple means no analysis, no judgment, no evaluation) learn to analyze, learn to see parts. First observe and then analyze.
Clear vision contains choices, frees to choose what's good and helpful and empowers to discard the bad parts.
Learn to recognize limitations and pain in this more complete way.
Small effortless, playful movements release tension and help to find clarity.
Our body image is the result of the communication between different centers of the brain. As a result of easy, more coordinated and relaxed movements there arise new links between those centers. From this point of view the Feldenkrais Method can be called "neurological reeducation".
If we do things with heart and soul we feel balanced and happy. The more we experience life in its multidimensionality, the richer it becomes.
Feldenkrais's saying: "Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself."
Let's become free and happy: Fly and enjoy!
I graduated in 2004 from Training2 in Basel, Switzerland (Paul Rubin/ Julie Casson San Francisco). During my first year I worked in a Chiropractor's office, after that in my own private practice.
I also have degrees in violin, music- and movement education and enjoy teaching and performing.
I moved to Washington in October of 2009. I'm a Guild Certified Feldenkrais PractitionerŽ with the Feldenkrais GuildŽ of North America.
At this time I see clients on Wednesdays in Tacoma at Abundant Health.
