Does acupuncture hurt?
No, Acupuncture does not hurt. In fact, many of my patients actually fall asleep on the table (with the needles in place). Truly! What you will feel is a slight sensation when the needles go in, and perhaps a distending or pressure sensation afterwards. These sensations all diminish very quickly. My patients are always pleasantly surprised how pain-free Acupuncture really is.
